Beinghunted. is a strategic consultancy for brands working across sport, functional lifestyle, retail and culture. We are based in Berlin and we work globally.
Functional lifestyle is the ground we know best. For the past decade we have worked with W. L. Gore and many of the most advanced brands in the field — building the partnerships, formats and stories that moved functional apparel out of a purely technical category and into everyday culture.
We have been part of this world for 25 years. The form has changed several times — news-site, retail platform, store, consultancy — the knowledge behind it has only grown. We are a small agency, deliberately. It is why our standard holds: every project carries our name, whether we work in the background or as the named producer.
Berlin is the base. The work is not. Last year took us to London, Paris, Vienna, Seoul, Tokyo and Vietnam. This year so far: Milan, Shanghai, and Tokyo again.
Beinghunted. began in 2001 as a side project: one of the first online news-sites for design, fashion and street culture, a daily feed for the products, brands and ideas worth knowing about. Print still ran the culture then. We were among the first to put visvim, WTAPS, Goodenough, and A Bathing Ape in front of a wide online audience, and the first to publish official features with Supreme, Nike, adidas Consortium, Stüssy, and Acronym. It never went commercial. It did build a network.
The feed led to a shop. The-Glade.com launched in 2004 as a sales platform for independent stores: they would ship, we would sell. The idea was early, maybe too early. It became our own online store instead, with its own inventory.
With the move to Berlin in 2006, the shop became a place. Firmament carried progressive labels from Japan, the US and Europe, and for ten years it was one of the most influential streetwear stores in Europe. Retail taught us how brands actually reach people — not in theory, in practice.
In 2015 we stepped away from retail and rebooted Beinghunted. as a strategic consultancy.
We develop and run strategies for brands in sport, functional lifestyle and retail, and we stay with a project from the first question to the finished work: market research, positioning, partnerships, activation, content.
Most of our value sits in the network behind the work. Twenty-five years in this industry buys access to brands, retailers and creatives that few small agencies can reach. We use it on almost every project.
We plan properly and we produce properly. We do not hand over half-finished ideas, and we do not build on guesswork. We ask a client as many questions as it takes to agree on what a project is, what it should achieve and what we will deliver, before the work starts.

Our studio in Berlin also works as a room for other things: exhibitions, starting with Conny Maier, and brand presentations. A working space, not only an office.
