The GORE-TEX® Culinary Series — Milano
The GORE-TEX® Brand opened its Culinary Series in Milan with an intimate breakfast at PAN Milano, a neighbourhood favourite that folds bakery, restaurant, and wine bar into a single all-day gathering place. Timed to Milan Design Week, the morning was conceived as a calm, conversational pause before another full day in the city.
More than 70 guests filled the space: local key opinion leaders, brand partners, creatives, and friends of the brand, brought together over coffee, matcha, and a spread of sweet and savoury bites. Each guest left with a Furoshiki, the Japanese wrapping cloth, a small giveaway that signalled the attention to detail and cultural sensitivity running through the series.
Approachable, well-attended, and closely attuned to Milan’s creative community, the first stop set the tone for everything that followed. It established the template the series would carry from city to city: a generous, locally minded gathering rather than a branded event.
As the series opener, Milan laid out the thinking behind everything to come: a brand community is built faster by feeding it than by pitching it. Rather than explaining GORE-TEX® Products, the breakfast offered a generous, low-pressure reason to gather, reading the city through its own creative scene and the rhythm of Design Week rather than treating it as a backdrop.
